JOURNEY OF FRAGRANCES
In ancient times, civilizations lacked the ability to create synthetic scents, so every fragrance came from nature, from flowers to spices. The method used in antiquity for the production of essences and oils was called “expression.” During this process, the raw material, such as a flower, was manually pressed until the essential oils were extracted.
Today, thanks to technological innovations and scientific discoveries over the centuries, the processing methods have been updated.
Logevy fragrances are born from the childhood memories of the Perfumer, travel to France, and return to Tuscany in the form of essential oils.
In Tuscany, amidst the hills of the Maremma near Pisa, at the Logevy Firenze 1965 laboratory, Stefano Cintelli and his team passionately and dedicatedly work to blend essences to create the perfect fragrance.
Once the combinations are mixed, the Perfumer, like a guardian of time, lets the fragrance rest, patiently waiting for the ingredients to fully reveal themselves. In the Logevy laboratory, oxygen dances with the essences, giving birth to new accords and richer, more complex bonds over time. The aromas, like little creatures from fairy tales, develop a thousand nuances, creating olfactory symphonies that defy time.
After this resting period, known as aging, the Logevy team filters out any residual impurities before bottling the fragrance, now ready to continue aging in Logevy bottles, like a fine wine.
